Email Request for our Catalog!
We grow beautiful fresh perennial plants and flowers for landscaping or fresh cut flowers. We are state inspected and approved to ship Non-Host nursery stock by the ODA. Plants are available on site during listed business season and hours. Visiting during non-business hours can be arranged by contacting us in advance either by phone or email. We guarantee our plants are true to
form. Potted plants should be replanted as soon as possible and should
always be planted in the ground at least 6 weeks before the first hard
freeze. Event planners may request fresh cut flowers to be cut and picked up the day prior or the day of the planned event. We can cut fresh flowers for you without your viewing or you can personally view and choose flowers for cutting. If need be, we can make arrangements for delivery with a .25 cents per round trip miles delivery fee. Sorry, we do not honor refunds as we have no control of plant care once it leaves our nursery. If for any reason you are displeased with a plant, notify us or return it within the first week after purchase for a replacement (does not apply to fresh cut flowers). Fresh cut flowers need to be placed in warm water immediately. Fresh cut lily flowers have a long life and will last from 2 to 5 weeks depending on how well they are maintained and cared for. Fresh cut lilies used for events, such as weddings, should have the anthers (pollen heads) pinched off and stems allowed to dry for a least 30 minutes to prevent dripping and cause of staining to fabrics. Another approach is to dip stem ends into hot wax. Fresh cut flowers kept in vases need water at all times. Change water and cut 1/2 inch off end of stems every few days while adding a flower preservative or 1 teaspoon of 7-Up or Sprite soda to water each time. Keep flowers away from direct drafts and sun light. Calla lilies are $1.50/stem, Asiatic's are $3.50/stem, and Oriental's are $5.50/stem. Calla lilies have 1 bloom/stem, Asiatics have as many as 3-6 blooms/stem, and Oriental's can have as many as 10-15 blooms/stem.
Mail Order's? We mail bare-root daylilies and hostas. If your interested in what kinds of daylilies and hostas we have and would like us to email you a catalog, simply email request for our catalog in the "Comments:" area from the Contact Us form. Once you receive our catalog, via email, print out the order form and list the plants you are purchasing. Be sure to email us ahead of time with names of daylilies and or hostas and quantity of each to be sure we have enough in stock. Then mail the purchase order form including payment by personal check written to Pickalily Gardens. Once your check has cleared, we will mail to you your plants via USPS priority mail. We can also except payment through a PayPal account. Instruction for planting will be included. All bare-root daylilies come double fanned and hostas are second year growth. Shipping season is from April through August. Bare-root plants need to be planted 6 weeks before the first hard freeze.
